The materiel I used to create this picture was willow charcoal, grid, ruler and white willow charcoal with a picture of myself. My picture is a portrait of me with a straight face with no smile and what I did was write a little bit of my past in this picture to show people it's a way out of everything and always a better side. Everyone deserves a second chance. This meant a lot to me because I changed a lot of my old ways. The artist I used for inspiration was Kathe Kollwitz. Why was because of the value shades and lines she used and every picture always tells a story like mine. What I learned from creating this picture is value and how to tell a story through the picture as a voice even to others.

the matriel I used for this great pice of art you are looking at was made with back willow church and oil pastel on this i went for it and did not use a ride to challenge myself a little I looked at my picture grabbed a pencil and went for it. this picture is a picture i took with my eyes and drew it down but in this picture I have my normal face in this picture i didn't use a artist for inspiration at all but in my face it tells a story everything tells a story. and in this one I'm showing I don't want to be at school but I'm here and dreaming about the day I'm going to have
in this picture i used all red and a little green this picture is called red velvet. what inspired me to do this is it was close to my aunts birthday and she helped me she is like my mom and i don't wasn't nothing but the best for her so the rose symbolizes the love and appreciation I have gained for her and no one can take her value away. in this picture I used colored and oil pastels first i sketched out how i would want it then i went on ahead and got down to work.
In the image above that I have created is made with sharpie and water color paints how i got this started was make little designs here and there. Then next what I had did was come up with a image that was in my head drew it down with a pencil then painted. You may ask did i do this sharpie and paint thing on purpose well I did and this type of art is called zentangle. what is showing in this picture is kind of where im at now in life I lived everywhere in Denver from Parkhill to the eastside and castlepines and aroura even by gw when I was in Elementry i made a space mixed with water themed with the words blessed because everything i went through made me stronger and i came out even better out of every issue.
1. How does the idea of painting three layers of paint relate to life? because layers can relate to feeling its like you put cloths on your feelings because you cover it up so no one sees them
2. How does painting over your entire image with black relate to life? Give your group examples. it can relate to me because i wear alot of black red and white
3. How does washing off the black relates to life? Give us examples. dried up from all the old bad and good now its trapped in me
Last and final art project this is another portrait of myself I created my picture by first taking picture of myself. Next I printed out my picture then I got paper a pencil made a grid. Next step further I started to trace it then last step I painted it out. Some colors I mixed and made to make a new lighter/brighter colors or new color shades like the bricks on the right it was ok making this painting it didn't take a lot of time at all I got done quick and easy i enjoyed painting and the best part of the painting is the eyes it shows your mood and feeling. |
